The cylinders are corrosion-resistant, with the barrel and piston rod manufactured from stainless steel, double-swaged anodised aluminium end caps, and offer an exceptional service life. The double-swaged end caps provide an air tight seal. The cylinders offer high dust resistance through the use of a specially-designed and unique dust seal, making SMC C85 pneumatic cylinders suitable for use in extremely dusty environments. A low friction design that incorporates elastomer cushion seals allows the the cylinders to operate at speeds up to 1500 mm/s.
