Pneumatic Grippers

Pneumatic grippers function by using compressed air to open and close their jaws—also known as fingers—which mimic the action of human hands by gripping, positioning, and handling objects. These grippers commonly feature either two or three fingers, and are powered by single or double-acting pneumatic cylinders for actuation.

The two primary configurations of pneumatic grippers are angular and parallel types. Among them, the parallel gripper is the most prevalent due to its straightforward design and adaptability to objects of varying sizes.

Pneumatic grippers are widely used in automation systems, from handling miniature components like semiconductors to manipulating large items such as automotive parts.
