Pneumatic technology uses pressurized gas to drive mechanical motion. The most common gas used in pneumatic technology is dry air. The air must be dry because moisture affects compressive qualities. Pneumatic technology is very similar to hydraulic technology, but in hydraulics, the driving fluid is always a liquid.
Pneumatic systems operate using a central pneumatic device, such as an air motor or compressor, and utilize manual or automatic solenoid valves to control airflow throughout the system.

What are pneumatic quick connect couplings used for?
Pneumatic quick connect couplings attach to the ends of hoses and allow them to connect quickly and easily to different types of equipment. These are often found in locations where tools are changed frequently, such as dental surgeries.

Applications
KQG2 series one-touch fittings make use of FKM seals and may be used with a variety of tubing including nylon, soft nylon, polyurethane, polyolefin, FEP and PFA. The fittings are suitable for use with steam and are grease-free.
The SMC KK series has slim body design and large effective area are achieved with a construction that does not use steel balls or valve springs and therefore does not restrict the flow path. It used with sleeve lock mechanism and used for general purpose type.
